Vaval Meen | Pomfret Fish Slices - 10 nos |
Blanched Red Chili Paste - 2 tsp |
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp |
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Lemon Juice - 1\2 no |
Salt - required |
Oil - 1 tsp + shallow fry |
Method : |
To make the fish masala, in a mixing bowl, add the blanched red chili paste, ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, lemon juice, oil and required salt, mix well. |
Marinate the fish pieces with masala for about half an hour. |
Heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil in a tawa, shallow fry the marinated fish pieces. Cook over medium flame on both sides. Serve hot. |
Notes: Fish masala will slightly stick to tawa, to avoid that u can also dust some corn flour on marinated fish pieces and then shallow fry it. |

Add the fish pieces and coat the masala on all sides. Marinate them half an hour. |
To shallow fry, heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil in a tawa, shallow fry the fish pieces. Cook them over medium flame on both sides. Serve hot. |
