Children's Day Special - Churros | Spanish Doughnuts - Churros are a classic Spanish breakfast treat, but we make it as a delicious snack at any time. As usual this dish is also easy to make with simple ingredients. Already I tried this two times. Difficulty parts is - I used small star nozzle to pipe, for that, have to give little pressure to pipe into the oil. I got slightly palm pain and pipping bag was also teared one time. For that inconvenience, I suggest all to use large star nozzle. Otherwise, the taste is really awesome and I loved the cinnamon flavor very much. Now lets see how to make this churros with easy step by step images, instructions and video.

Churros | Spanish Doughnuts | Children's Day Special

Ingredients :

Fresh Cream - 1\2 cup
Dark Chocolate - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Water - 3\4 cup
Unsalted Butter - 2 tbsp
Maida - 3\4 cup
Salt - pinch
Eggs - 2 no
Icing Sugar - 1\2 cup
Cinnamon Stick - 2"
Oil - deep fry
Method :
To make the ganache | chocolate sauce, In a pan, pour the fresh cream and heat until bubbles. Turn off the flame and add the dark chocolate. Mix well to combine and set aside.
To make the churros dough, In a pan, pour the water, butter and pinch of salt,and bring to boil. When the butter melts, turn the flame into lower, add the maida, mix well until dough forms a ball. Cool the dough little. Add the eggs, one at a time and mix well until combined.
For outer coating, grind the icing sugar and cinnamon stick into powder, keep aside.
To make the churros, heat enough oil to deep fry the churros. Fill the dough in the pipping bag with star nozzle. Turn the flame into lower, then pipe four-inch strips directly into the oil. Cook over medium flame until slightly golden brown colour. Remove the churros in the oil, while still hot or warm, dust with the icing sugar-cinnamon mixture. Serve with the ganache.
Notes: Use all the ingredients at room temperature. When hot, ganache is in thin, but once cooled it will turns into little thick. To keep the oil hot, make small batch of churros. Dust the icing sugar while hot or warm.
