Milk - 2 cups |
Condensed Milk - 3\4 cup |
Brown Sugar - 1\4 cup |
Cardamom Powder - 1\2 tsp (optional) |
Cornflour - 1 and 1\2 tsp |
Sapota Paste - 1 cup |
Method : |
To make the kulfi mixture, heat the milk, condensed milk and brown sugar in a pan. Mix well and bring to boil. Turn the flame into simmer and cook for about two to three minutes. |
Add the cardamom powder and mix well. |
Separately mix the cornflour with some water. Pour them into the boiling kulfi mixture, mix well and cook for about three minutes or till they turns little thick, by stirring frequently. |
Turn off the flame, allow to cool completely. Then add the sapota paste, mix well and the kulfi mixture is ready. |
Fill the kulfi mixture into the kulfi moulds. Freeze overnight or at least 6 hours to set. |
To de-mould, insert the bamboo stick in the center of each kulfi's. Run the knife around the sides and pull out the stick. Kulfi's are ready. |
Notes: Cornflour helps to thicken the kulfi mixture. Keep stirring frequently to avoid burning. |
