Prawn Thokku | Eraal Thakkali Thokku | Simple Prawn Tomato Thokku

Ingredients :

Oil - 2 tbsps
Cinnamon Stick - 2"
Cloves - 5 nos
Large Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chilies - 2 nos (slit)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Large Tomato Paste - 1 no
Salt - as required
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Eraal | Prawn - 250 gms (cleaned)
Coconut Paste - 2 tbsps
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 to 3 tbsps (chopped)
Method :
Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the cinnamon stick, cloves, onoin, green chili and curry leaves, saute until the onion turns slightly golden colour.
Add the ginger garlic paste and saute until its raw smell leave completely.
Add the tomato paste and salt, saute until its raw smell leave completely.
Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, fennel seeds powder and cumin seeds powder, stir few seconds.
Add the prawn and cook over low flame.
Then add the coconut paste and cook for about two minutes.
Finally add the pepper powder and coriander leaves, mix well.
Notes: cook the prawn without water over low flame, if required add some.
