Athimathuram - 20 gms |
Sukku | Dry Ginger - 20 gms |
Thippili | Long Pepper - 10 gms |
Milk - 3\4 cup |
Water - 1\2 cup |
Tea powder - 1 tsp |
Sugar - 2 tsps (+ or -) |
Method : |
Using mortar and pestle, break the athimathuram and sukku into small pieces separately. |
Then grind the athimathuram, sukku and thippili into powder. |
To make the tea, heat the milk and water in a pan, bring to boil. |
Turn the flame into medium, add the tea powder, one teaspoon of ground mixture and sugar into the boiling milk, boil for around two minutes. |
Turn off the flame, cover and steep for about two minutes. Strain and serve hot. |
Notes: Adjust the sweetness and tea powder as per your taste. |
