Pirandai Idli Dosai Recipe | How To Make Easy Pirandai Idli Dosai

How to Clean and Use Pirandai :
- Pirandai is generally causes itching on skin while handling. To prevent this itching, apply some coconut oil or sesame oil on your hands.
- Using knife, remove the sharp edges \ fiber from the sides of pirandai (like removing fibers from the drumstick and beans). (Image 1)
- Then cut into small pieces and ready to use. (Image 2)

Pirandai - 1 cup
Pulungal Arisi | Idli Arisi - 1 cup
Pachai Arisi - 1 cup
Ulundu | Urad Dal - 1\2 cup
Vendayam | Fenugreek Seeds - 1 tsp
Salt to Taste. |
Preparation:
- Wash and soak the rice with enough for 4 hours. Similarly soak the ulundu and vendayam separately. (Image 1 and 2)
Steps To Make The Pirandai Idli and Dosai Recipe:
- Grind the soaked ulundu and vendayam in to fine paste with required water in a wet grinder for about 20mins. (Image 3 and 4)

- Add the soaked rice and grind for five minutes. (Image 5 and 6)
- Then add the pirandai and grind into fine paste with required water for about 10 to 15mins. (Image 7 and 8)

- Transfer the ground batter in to a bowl and mix with the required salt. Then cover and set overnight to ferment or 8 to 10 hrs. (Image 9)
- After ferment you can see tiny bubbles at top. (Image 10)
- To make the dosai or idli, take required amount of batter into a mixing bowl, mix little and then use. Refrigerate the remaining batter and use latter.

Steps To Make The Pirandai Idli Recipe:
- Heat the iron tawa, pour a laddle full of batter in the center and spread into thin circle. (Image 11 and 12)
- Add a teaspoon of oil and cook over high flame. (Image 13)
- When the side turns golden colour, flip and cook over simmer till done. (Image 14 and 15)
- Ready to serve.

Steps To Make The Pirandai Idli Recipe:
- Boil 2cm of water in a idli pan. (Image 16)
- Meantime grease one or two idli plate or use wet cloth. Spoon some batter into the each indentations. (Image 17)
- Arrange the idli plates in the idli pan, cover and steam for 15minutes over medium flame. (Image 18)
- To take idli from the greased plate, use knife to take out the idlis.
- To take idli from the cloth, drop some water around the each idlis and turn out on the plate and gently remove the cloth. (Image 19)
- Ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion: Serve the Pirandai Idli and Dosai with Sambar and Coconut Chutney.
