Ingredients : |
Potato - 1 no (large, quartered) |
Ginger - 2" |
Garlic - 7 cloves |
Green Chilies - 2 nos |
Oil - 2 tbsps |
Fennel Seeds - 1\2 tsp |
Onion - 1 no (sliced) |
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp |
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Dried Methi - 1 thsp |
Method : |
Pressure cook the potato with one cup of water for one whistle three minutes over low flame. When all the steam has released, open the pan. Peel off the potato skin and cut into small pieces for about one inch. Keep aside. |
Grind the ginger, garlic and green chilies into paste with required water and keep aside. |
Heat the oil in a kadhai, temper the fennel seeds. Add the onion, saute until it turns slightly golden colour. Add the ground mixture and stir until its raw smell leaves. Add the potatoes, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder and required salt. Stir for about two to three minutes until all the masala's raw smell leaves completely. At last add the crushed dried methi, mix and ready. |
Notes: Don't add water and try to cook them in the oil. |
