Ingredients :

Konda Kadalai Sundal
Kondakadalai Sundal | Kala Channa - 1 cup
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Dry Red Chili - 2 no
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Gingelly Oil | Sesame Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Konda Kadalai Sundal Recipe | Kala Channa Sundal :

  • Preparation, wash and soak the konda kadalai with enough water for overnight or at-least eight to ten hours. (Image 1)
  • Drain the soaked konda kadalai and pressure cook with one and half cup of water for one whistle and five minutes over simmer. (Image 2)
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pan and keep aside. (Image 3)

  • To make the sundal, heat two teaspoon of oil in a hot kadhai | pan, temper the mustard seeds and urad dal, after splutter add in the dry red chili and curry leaves and saute for few seconds. (Image 4)
  • Add in the pressure cooked konda kadalai (water drained) and grated coconut, stir well for few seconds and ready to serve. (Image 5 and 6)
